In this series experimenting with glitch and Ai generated art, I wanted to find the intersection between tradition and technology in the context of beauty. I thought it'd be interesting for the subject of my glitches to be traditionally valued forms of beauty. Things that are well thought out and widely valued for simply just existing in their most natural form. For example a painting, an old photograph of a woman, a vintage portrait of a musician, a child, an iconic piece of architecture. These subjects individually have enough value and depth to be considered beautiful in their most natural form. When they are glitched, made randomised, is this value lost or enhanced? is their a sweet spot between the two where technology can enhance the visual beauty we naturally percieve in the world? Can there be a rhythmic dance between intention and randomization?
